App UP returns with over US $1 million prize money

On June 24, the Huawei Global App Innovation Contest (Apps UP) 2022, based on the theme "Together We Innovate", was officially launched

HUAWEI Developers welcomes developers from all around the globe to compete in the Huawei Global App Innovation Contest (Apps UP) 2022, which will take place on June 24, 2022, with the opening of registrations worldwide,the developers from all over the world to put their talents to the test with the introduction of the Huawei Global App Innovation Contest (Apps UP) 2022.

With the hashtag #TogetherWeInnovate as this year’s theme, Apps UP has allocated a sizeable prize fund of more than US$1 million to reward entries that provide people all around the world with an innovative, smooth, and digital experience.

The programme has previously operated for two years in a row, gathering almost 10,000 applications from nearly 10,000 developers and providing a forum for developers to realise their goals on a worldwide scale.Huawei

The Best Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) Innovation Award is part of the MEA competition area along with the Best App, Best Game, Best Social Impact App, All-Scenario Coverage Award, and Tech Women’s Award.

The Student Innovation Award honours excellent student developers who demonstrate unique efforts, and it encourages developers to produce programmes that incorporate new HMS features and services.

The Apps UP competition is in line with regional and national priorities that focus on enhancing national skills, retraining workers, and creating a future workforce that is collaborative.

In keeping with its Seamless AI life approach, Huawei has unveiled a collection of HMS capabilities that work with a variety of gadgets and consistently give people a superior AI life experience in all contexts.

Apps Up 2022 has seven prize categories spread over five competition zones.

The contest, which was launched concurrently throughout Europe, Asia Pacific, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa, and China, is divided into four stages: registration and submission, preliminary, public review, and regional finals.

In addition to the Best App, Best Game, Best Social Impact App, All-Scenario Coverage Award, and Tech Women’s Award, the China Competition Region this year adds the Best Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) Innovation Award, which encourages developers to create apps that integrate new HMS capabilities and services, and the Student Innovation Award, which recognises outstanding student developers who showcase innovative works enriched with the Seamless AI experience.

Special awards, such as the Best Arabic App in the Middle East & Africa Competition Region, the Best Game Innovation Award in the Latin America Competition Region, and the AppGallery Rising Star App in the Asia Pacific Competition Region, have also been established with the goal of localising the HMS ecosystem.

Apps Up 2022 introduces fresh and interesting contestant incentives.

This year’s participants may also win a variety of fascinating prizes, including serverless service certificates from AppGallery Connect.

In line with its Seamless AI life strategy, Huawei has introduced a number of HMS features that support a wide range of devices and are constantly improving customers’ AI life experiences across scenarios.
