Marxent to Expand 3D Home Design Platform

Marxent Series C Funding

Marxent raises $15 million in Series C funding round.

The Maxent Technology required to digitally recreate and furnish real rooms in 3D is considerably more complicated under the hood than it appears to end-users. It’s even trickier to import an enterprise’s real-world objects — furniture, flooring, wallpaper, and the like —  so customers can preview and buy them.

3D Cloud has developed a robust commerce platform. It enables enterprises to digitize and sell everything from individual furnishings to fully designed rooms. Marxent announces that it will expand its service following an investment from Connectwise founder Arnie Bellini, who will also join the Florida-based company’s board.

A 3D Home Design Platform

Marxent is the leader in Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality for furniture and home decor retailers and manufacturers. Marxent’s 3D Cloud™ is the full-service omnichannel platform for enterprise retailers. It is pursuing a 3D content strategy that benefits from asset reuse across applications. Configure, design, and visualize home furnishings and home decor with Marxent’s 3D Room Planner, Virtual Reality Showroom, Augmented Reality SDK, 360 Spins, or 3D Product Configurator.

It is the only 3D content and applications system for retailers looking to inspire confident buyers, generates higher conversion rates, facilitates faster purchase decisions, and nearly eliminate returns. Clients include Ashley Furniture, La-Z-Boy, Target, and Macy’s.

Marxent Raises $15 Million For Expansion 3D Home Design Platform

Marxent announced that it will expand its service following an investment from Connectwise founder Arnie Bellini. Arnie will also join the Florida-based company’s board. Marxent’s expansion is significant for technical decision-makers because it demonstrates growing enterprise interest in turnkey solutions that can transform 2D photos and real-world objects into commercially viable 3D content.

Once digital twins of real objects and rooms have been created in 3D. They can be viewed on anything from a computer monitor or mobile device to mixed reality headsets. Varied options are embraced by the retailers. Such as Macy’s, which originally adopted Marxent’s 3D Room Planner to sell furniture using in-store VR goggles.
