The Series B financing round was co-led by Silicon Valley-based WestCap Group and Tomales Bay Capital, with Matrix Partners India and Orios Venture Partners also participating.

According to an official release, Zupee will utilize the cash to grow its product line, increase its market reach, and hire global expertise. Zupee has so far raised $49 million in total financing. The startup already has a user base of over 10 million people.

Zupee, founded in 2018 by IIT Kanpur grads Dilsher Singh and Siddhant Saurabh and incubated with funding from Smile Group, innovates by reengineering time-tested games to improve skill, joy, and optimism.

The portfolio of the firm includes unique gameplay formats of popular board games. The main gaming app, which has over 250 million gameplays, offers live trivia quiz contests.
