Oculus Go was announced in San Jose, CA at the fourth flagship event for the VR community! It is an event where engineers, designers, and creatives from around the world come together to push virtual reality forward. Oculus go was announced by the Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg.
Drifting slightly away from Oculus Rift line of VR headset, the Oculus go will make things more accessible for the VR developers due to its pricing. That is what we feel is the major take away from the event. However, Mark wants us to believe that with Oculus Go ( or there other VR headset ) life is going to change because we can be anywhere we want to with the virtual world like traveling, meeting, work, be with the loved ones etc. Well how long it will take people to accept “reality” is something to watch for. However, this is an exciting news for app developers working on VR apps, games etc.
Mark Said, “We want to bring a billion people in the virtual reality and making it accessible to everyone”. Oculus aims to create affordable + high-quality VR possible and Oculus Go is a step in that direction.
The specs are not yet out bur Mark mentioned that they will start shipping the device in early 2018.
