- Apple Music receives an update on Android
- The update primarily includes redesign and autoplay
- “For You” has been replaced with “Listen Now”
Apple has been doing a lot this year. Past a month the company has brought some remarkable changes in their platforms. With frequent updates and enhancements, the tech giant is again set for another update. Yes, you heard it right. Yesterday Apple Music received an update on Android.
The new update brings all the latest features and improvements engulfed with the app’s iOS 14 update. Redesign and autoplay features are the prime focus of this update. However, the company is known for not making their apps and services available on multiple platforms.
Apple Music is one of the key exceptions in this case.
If you are looking for an incredible music platform undoubtedly Apple is the best choice. Apple Music is a music and video streaming service. The service is developed by Apple Inc. The app was launched in 2015.
On this platform, users can select music to stream to their on-demand. They can also listen to existing, expertly curated playlists. The service also includes the Internet radio station Apple Music 1, Apple Music Hits, and Apple Music Country.
The Music Country broadcasts live to over 200 countries 24 hours a day. New subscribers get a six-month free trial service before buying a monthly subscription. Not only this the service is available on various platforms.
In addition to Apple devices, it includes Android, Chrome OS, Amazon Echo, Windows, Sonos, and Web. For a monthly subscription, you need to pay $9.99. Also, you can also get it bundled with a carrier plan. The latest update to Apple Music for Android, version 3.4, has begun rolling out.
What’s new in the update for Android?
The update was in beta testing for a long time and then suddenly it popped up. The new update redesigns the apps. This accounts for the changes in five primary sections in the menu bar. Particularly,
“For You” has been replaced with the “Listen Now” view. App’s search features have moved down to the lower search bar.
Now Playing is also redesigned with a dynamic color changing backgrounds as per the songs. Another fresh feature is a new infinity-shaped icon on the right side of “Playing Next”. By tapping this autoplay will be enabled and will show a preview of the added songs.
You now have an option to “Share” your favourite songs and albums directly. It includes Instagram Direct, Facebook, or Snapchat as a tappable feature. You can also choose streaming quality for listening and downloading the songs.
Alongside this, there’s a “Cellular Data Saver” option you can use when in a bad connection area. The overall changes are wonderful.
Apple Music for Android version 3.4 should be rolling out via the Google Play Store.
