- Apple invites macOS developers to special labs
- The company doesn’t mention any specific reason for the labs
- Rumor says the upcoming events will take place on November 17
Apple recently organized an event in the month of October. The event followed the release of the series 12 phones. For so many years the company has been doing ample improvements for its users. A full combination of creativity and innovation can be seen in their devices.
The release was followed by several improvements that came alongside the phones. Apple is quite conscious to improve its services so as to meet its standards. The recent updates by the company explains this well. Not only the updates, but several other services were also introduced by the company.
For instance the series 3 watches, Apple Music, or the integrated TV remote. In between all this, the company also faced a little bit of criticism for removing its chargers and i-pods. However, Apple states ‘save environment’ as a reason for this move.
Also, there was a problem with default email and browser settings as well. However, let’s just keep all this aside. The company is now set to invite macOS developers to special labs. The news is followed by the 1st Apple Silicon Mac announcements.
What is the Developer plan all about?
Apple is now inviting macOS developers. These developers are a part of the Universal App Quick Start Program to join Apple engineers in labs. The joining is to take place next week. The program is for developers who have access to the Developer Transition Kit.
This is done in order to prepare apps for Apple Silicon. In June Apple announced the transition from Intel processors to its own Apple Silicon on the Mac. The company offered a custom Mac mini with A12Z to some developers. These developers were able to prepare their apps for Apple Silicon Mac.
This was prior to this new hardware being available to the public. Now the same developers are being invited to one-on-one labs with Apple engineers. This will help them to learn more about how to prepare their apps for the Apple Silicon platform.
Developers with the Developer Transition Kit can request an appointment with Apple until November 1. The labs are scheduled for November 4 and 5.
However, the company doesn’t mention any particular reason for these labs. There are rumors about the next Apple event which will take place in November. It is in this event the first Apple Silicon Macs will be officially announced.
It is easy to visualize that the company wants developers to have apps ready for new Macs. Probability is that Apple is holding the public release of macOS Big Sur 11.0 until Apple Silicon. This is similar to what the company did with iOS 14.1. This may prevent leaks.
As per the rumors, the next event will take place on November 17.
