Bye Bye Keyboard is the new mantra for Blackberry Motion
Blackberry Motion was announced yesterday amidst high voltage show Gitex Technology week. Drifting away from there traditional QWERTY keypad, Motion is a keypad-less smartphone manufactured by Chinese company TCL.
The BlackBerry Motion is a mid-range dual-SIM Android smartphone. It is running Android 7.1.1 Nougat under the bonet. It has a 5.5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display with DragonTrail Glass protection and home button below the display. Powered by a Snapdragon 625 SoC processor with 4GB of RAM. The handset has 32GB of inbuilt storage, expandable via microSD card (up to 2TB).
The phone will be initially available in Middle Eastern markets for around $460 USD. North American availability was not announced. With Blackberry having 0 % handset market share currently, it will be interesting to see how blackberry motion and another slew of devices recently launched will help them garner some market share in the near future.
