Last week, Google added 50 new creatures to Search on Android or iOS. Now Google has another surprise for the users of the popular AR feature. As Disney+ started streaming the second season of their popular ”The Mandalorian” series, Google added an additional AR character to Search the absolute fan-favorite character – Grogu, more famously known as “Baby Yoda”.

Users can search for “Grogu,” “The Child,” or “Baby Yoda” into Google Search to get Knowledge Panel for the character. The official name for Baby Yoda was revealed during season 2 of The Mandalorian. The finale would air on Friday, December 18.
Apart from the standard image carousel and Wikipedia description, there is a new “See the Child in your space” card with a “View in 3D button.” Users get a 3D model that can be zoomed in/out on and rotated that is accompanied by very adorable sounds effects. These effects just play in a loop and do not respond to any user input in particular.
The movement includes blinking of eyes, tilting head, and wiggling ears, as well as slight not so complex movement.
Google + Star Wars
Google’s favorite collaboration has to be The Star Wars franchise. As it released The Mandalorian AR Experience with Disney. Lucasfilm will also come up with a “Next Generation augmented reality app” optimized for 5g devices.
