Mobile Data Usage Report
Statista has recently released the mobile data usage report in the OECD countries. Guess what it’s not UK, not USA but Finland which has topped the chart. Have a detailed look at how the numbers have stacked up
The reason we believe has primarily been the deep penetration of 4 G network in the countries topping the chart. Some of the countries in the OECD list are still hanging to the old 3G tech and looks like they will take sometime before they upgrade themselves to 4 G completely.
Also, interestingly if you see the ad campaigns of most of the telecom have shifted from “Cheap calls” “unlimited Calls” to “Unlimited Data”. As some telco giant chief recently said Data is the new oil. It is indeed oil but these are bottomless wells they are drilling it from. Perpetual supply of the “Data oil” is guaranteed.
