Serve is a mobile app that connects people to local volunteer opportunities by making it simple to find, join or lead projects in their community.

- In the app, find your church and select it.

- What steps should I take to start my own business?
Navigate to Admin Dashboard > Organization.
Include a phone number that is both your primary and secondary phone number.
Include your primary email address as well.
Add an Accent Color- The background will be black if no accent color is specified.
Hexadecimal notation must be used to specify the color.
Add Campuses- On the Organization page, under the campus list, click the plus icon.
Add an Organization Logomark- This is only for internal branding and will not appear on the event page.
The format for the logo should be as follows:
JPG, PNG, and SVG files are all supported.
Design: A color for your church’s logo’s background.
File dimensions must be square (the system will crop it to a circle) and smaller than 120x120px.
- How Do I Plan an Event?
Navigate to the Admin Dashboard > Events > + Create New Event (or click the event’s name).
The event contains the majority of the Serve Day app configuration. Each set’s best practices are listed below.
Design Your Event Logo.
Navigate to the Events page. Select a name for your event.
The logo will appear on both the website and the mobile app. The format for the logo should be as follows:
Both PNG and SVG files are acceptable.
The logo has a transparent background with a black experience.
This image will have a resolution of 50 x 50 pixels.
Create Your Campaign
Navigate to the Events page. Select a name for your event.
If your church is participating in Serve Day, select Serve Day 2019 from the Campaign dropdown menu.
Select Your Accent Color
Navigate to Events and type in the name of your event.
The accent color appears on both your website and the Mobile App. It serves as a background for the Mobile App menu as well as highlighting buttons. It is best to use a dark or attention-grabbing color.
If no accent color is specified, your organization’s accent color will be used.
Hexadecimal notation must be used to specify the color.
Configure Your Directory’s Status.
Navigate to Events and type in the name of your event.
Reasons for the status:
Active indicates that the directory is open to the public and that users can search for projects using the app.
The directory is inactive if it is not visible to the public and users cannot search for projects in the app.
- How Should Projects Be Managed/Approved?
Navigate to Admin Dashboard > Projects. You can select a project by clicking on its name.
Examine the data.
To make it appear in the directory, change the status to Open.
To save your changes, click the green checkmark at the bottom.
Reasons for the status:
It is hidden from the directory because it does not appear and is only counted on reports.
Pending = does not appear in the directory but appears in reports.
Open = appears in the directory and counts in reports.
Not Approved means that it does not appear in the directory or reports.
Did Not Occur = does not appear in the directory and is therefore not reported on.
In Review = does not appear in the directory and thus is not counted in reports…
