Many people experienced issues with PlayStation Network (PSN) this evening or afternoon. The service faces an outage with multiplayer, store services, and more going down for more than an hour. It was a global network disruption.
Officially, the Ask PlayStation Japan Twitter account came up with the issue. And a lot of European users also reported PSN problems.
As the problem reaches the resolution, the status page of PSN shows that the service is up and running. Certain users provide confirmation. They were able to download a game from the PlayStation store. They were also able to start a multiplayer game.
