About Digip:
Digip AB, a Swedish legal tech SaaS startup that makes trademark protection accessible, inexpensive, and functional, has raised €2 million in a fundraising round led by Industrifonden. The round included participation from SeedX, Antler, and angel investors. The funds will be utilized to expand the company and continue to fight trademark infringement around the world.
Digip provides a new approach to offering intellectual property services on a worldwide scale through its platform. It provides the most innovative technology on the market by integrating technology, know-how, and investments to improve the customer experience, streamline operations, and minimize the cost of intellectual property protection.
The Digip platform, which was launched in 2019, provides on-demand trademark registration and protection solution that allows entrepreneurs and established businesses to protect and strengthen their brands globally in a digital and user-friendly environment. Digip, which launched in late 2020, already has clients in over 20 countries. The funds raised from Industrifonden, SeedX, Antler, and angel investors will be used to expand geographically, develop new products, and maintain the company’s aim of automating trademark management.
Trademark infringement is on the rise, and it has gained clients in 26 countries in less than nine months, demonstrating the global demand for intellectual property management. Digip’s clientele range from start-ups to enterprises with revenues of over €600 million, all of which wish to keep control of their intellectual property and costs. It has also attracted funding from the Stockholm startup ecosystem’s VC Antler and angel investors.
Viktor Johansson, CEO, and co-founder of Digip’s Verdict:
“Almost every organization in the world is going into the digital realm to some level, and as a result, the risk of brand misuse is on the rise. In reality, brand infringement has affected 85 percent of all businesses. If you want to develop a powerful and successful company, you must first own your brand. “It is no longer a question of ‘if,’ but rather ‘when,’ and you must be prepared,” said Viktor Johansson, CEO, and co-founder of Digip.
Tore Tolke, Senior Investment Director at Industrifonden’s Verdict:
“We are confident that entrepreneurs, owners, and Boards of Directors understand the importance of protecting their company, but we also recognize that in the fast-paced environment in which entrepreneurs operate, they simply do not have the time to learn all of the complicated steps or spend time with a traditional lawyer. We are excited by Digip, which allows anyone to explore registering and owning their brand instantaneously and for free, and we wanted to provide it with the financial muscle to supply this technology around the world,” stated Tore Tolke, Senior Investment Director at Industrifonden.
