Due to the controversy during Trump’s presidential period, TikTok became a popular household name amongst many Americans. Therefore it is no surprise that with such popularity in the United States many major companies want to cash in the opportunity. Apple is one of the companies that understood the fact and continues to take advantage of such marketing.
Apple and TikTok Partnership
Earlier this year, Apple partnered with TikTok to promote its brand new iPhone 12 Pro Max and iPhone 12 mini from a paid partnership with creators on the site and release ads of the above-mentioned product.
Now Apple has partnered with TikTok not to promote its hardware but to promote its software, more specifically Apple Music. TikTok users can get free access to Apple’s subscription-based music streaming service. TikTok users can only claim the offer through the TikTok app. The offer is being advertised to users of TikTok through an in-app notification on the iOS app.
If redeemed through the TikTok app, you’ll enjoy four months of Apple Music for free before Apple begins to charge you the usual $9.99 per month for an individual subscription. The promotion actually highlights TikTok’s official playlists on Apple Music but new subscribers won’t be limited to that, of course.
The one hard requirement, other than the TikTok app, is that the Apple ID that will be used to redeem the promo needs to have a registered payment method attached to it. That is for Apple to be able to instantly charge subscribers once the trial period is over, presuming they don’t forget to unsubscribe before the expiration of the offer.
The offer is valid only till January 3, 2021.

Apple recently partnered with Shazam (which Apple has acquired) to offer five months of Apple Music free to Shazam users. Only and only if the users are brand new users to the Shazam ecosystem.
